The Roswell community has been a key partner in our success story since planning began for our first festival back in 2006.
Today, donors continue to support our efforts with generous tax deductible gifts on various levels. But as our festival has grown, so have our support needs.
As our Jazz Festival embarks on the eleventh year, we are reaching for the stars. This time, with the exciting realization that our event has attained recognition and respect from dedicated fans and the nation’s finest jazz musicians, we are super-inspired to take a few more steps forward. With the goal of creating an even “bigger and better” festival this year with lower ticket prices to make the experience more accessible to everyone, we have reached out to the Roswell business community with an invitation for sponsorship.
Two local businesses immediately stepped up to the plate to meet the challenge and offer their support. It is a well-known fact that Mike McLeod and the good folks at Xcel Energy are regular contributors to the betterment of the Roswell community in many ways. Pertaining to the Roswell Jazz Festival, they have often helped the RJF School of Jazz educational component with much needed grants. This year, Xcel Energy is sponsoring the RJF’s Three Bones Thursday night 7 p.m. performance at Pecos Flavors! We thank you, Xcel Energy for all you do for the community and for supporting us in our efforts to bring artistic culture to our city.
Another RJF hero is Connie Harrell, property management specialist at 400 Penn Plaza. Connie has been a loyal contributor to the arts scene in Roswell for many years, having served on the Roswell Symphony Board and other civic minded groups. Her employer, 400 Penn Plaza has “owned” the inside cover of the RJF souvenir for eleven years. This year, 400 Penn Plaza will be sponsoring the Friday 5 p.m. Jazz on the Patio performance at Peppers Grill and Bar. We at RJF are so thankful for your loyal support, Connie Harrell! It is people like you that make a difference and enrich our community.
